This Northern Lights Tracker was built using publicly available space-weather data from NOAA, combined with custom code that translates raw scientific measurements into simple, real-time guidance for northern Michigan. It pulls live Kp index values, processes OVATION aurora forecasts, and even renders a polar map to show where the auroral oval is positioned over the Northern Hemisphere.

The entire build runs inside a basic Wix HTML embed—no special software, no advanced tools—showing that anyone can bring powerful, data-driven features to life with a little curiosity and the courage to experiment.
